As Principal, I would like to welcome you to our small inner-city primary academy. I hope that you will feel Knighton Fields is the school you wish to choose for your child. We wish our children to have special and happy memories of their time with us and value highly the positive relationships we have built between children, parents, staff, governors and our neighbouring communities.

Children get one chance for an education and here at Knighton Fields we want this to be the best. There is a driving determination to ensure that pupils and adults reach their full potential. Through the development of positive learning behaviours (5Rs), we strive for all of our children to leave with the skills necessary for successful lifelong learning. Learning is celebrated and openly admired and we strive to work and learn together with parents and carer.

At Knighton Fields, we fully appreciate the value of outdoor learning and have developed our grounds to provide a stimulating and enriching environment. Each class also benefits from regular trips off site to enhance the curriculum; including residentials which are heavily subsidised. Specialist music teachers and sports coaches further add to the curriculum the children receive.

We have a lot to be proud about at Knighton Fields. We have well-resourced classrooms and specialist support bases to enhance learning. The school is a happy, stimulating and caring place and we expect high standards of behaviour and good manners throughout.

We would be pleased to show you around Knighton Fields Primary Academy, for you to feel the friendly atmosphere here, give you the opportunity to meet the staff and see the children as they work and play together.

Please phone or leave us a message for an appointment to visit.

If you have any safeguarding concerns about a child at Knighton Fields outside of school hours, please call the Social Care on 0116 4541004 or email safeguarding@knighton-tmet.uk. This email will be sent to all safeguarding leads at the school.
