We have one Year 3 class. The staff in Year 3 are Miss Hastings (Class Teacher) and Mrs Cornell (Teaching Assistant). If you would ever like to speak to Miss Hastings, she is usually available at the beginning and end of the school day or an appointment can be made through the office.

In Year 3, children make the transition from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2. Children have a focused English lesson following a ‘Book Rich’ curriculum and a focused Maths session each day. We also have daily handwriting and reciprocal reading sessions. Other areas of the curriculum we learn about are: Science, Modern Foreign Languages (French), Computing, RE, History, Geography, Music, PSHCE and PE (including swimming during the Autumn term).

Home learning tasks are set weekly on a Friday in Learning Logs and are due in on a Wednesday. Children are also encouraged to read daily at home and to practise their spellings and times tables.
